Preschool 4s
We hope everyone had a very happy Thanksgiving filled with family and giving thanks! This month, we will be gearing up for all kinds of Christmas and New Year’s fun! Our Christmas party for Preschool 4s is on December 20th. Be on the lookout for the party sign-up sheet to see what we still need someone to bring for our party or to see what you have already signed up for. Happy Holidays everyone!!!
Literacy
This month we will be working with the letters J and K. Our “Alphabet Books” are coming along great and later this month, we will all look through our past projects! We will be practicing a new concept this month: using our positional language! This includes words such as “next to,” “under,” and “between.”
Math
Last month, we began practicing sorting objects by color. This month, we will be taking this skill a step further by practicing sorting by color, size, and shape! We will also be doing some extra fun Roll and Write activities where students will be using dice to decide what they trace or write.
Fine Motor
During December, we will be practicing our skills with the bottle glue as well as getting a chance to use some Christmas and Letter stencils! We will be strengthening our hand muscles while playing with playdough and using rolling pins, scissors, and Christmas cookie cutters!
Art
We will be using so many different objects this month to add some fun and different sensory play to our craft projects this month. We will be practicing our rolling skills with aluminum foil as well as marble painting with jingle bells and panting with scrub brushes!
