Preschool 4s
Happy New Year to everyone! We hope you all had a fantastic holiday season! This month in preschool, we have five full weeks of letters to practice! During the last week of January we will get to celebrate Dental Health Week with a special visit from Dr. Lang! Be on the lookout for lots of letter and teeth themed projects this month!
Literacy
This month we will be working with the letters L, M, N, O and P. We will also be using Dental Health Week as a way to practice our Uppercase/Lowercase letters by having a Tooth Letter Case Sort! We will be making lots of anchor charts to hang up this month and reading extra books about teeth!
Math
Last month, we began practicing creating patterns by making a pattern of our calendar. This month, we will be taking this skill a step further by practicing making patterns by using paint and marshmallows and pompoms to create our very own patterns.
Fine Motor
During January, we will be practicing our fine motor skills in many ways! We will be lacing during L week, using magnets during M week, and we will be using toothbrushes to clean really big teeth during Dental Health Week.
Art
This month we will use some different objects this month to add some fun sensory play to our craft projects. We will be adding Orange scent to our project for O week! We will also be using noodles as beads this month to make an awesome noodle necklace!
