May 2018
Dear Parents,
As summer approaches, we are ordering all of our camp supplies, including our camp t-shirts. Camp begins June 4, 2018. If you have not paid the summer camp fee, please do so immediately. Parents will be provided with monthly calendars, which will include the waterplay days, special events, and field trips. Permission are given 2 weeks prior each field trip. In addition, sunscreen for children Sunscreen Authorization forms are required for all children; children under the age of two will have to provide us with their own sunscreen. Swimsuits, water shoes, and towels must be brought in and laundered at home each week. It is your responsibility to bring your child’s water gear to school the following week.
An extra change of clothes is definitely recommended going into our summer program. Check with your child’s teacher to see if your child has weather-appropriate change of clothes at the center. As nice weather approaches, many children may want to wear sandals. However, it is our policy children cannot wear flip-flops; we strongly recommend tennis shoes and socks are worn. Due to outdoor play and our camp activities, tennis shoes are best to avoid injuries.
The center will be closed Memorial Day, Monday, May 28. Have a fun and safe holiday weekend!

Happy May to our St. Philip’s families! We are so excited spring is finally here with its warmer weather. Our Butterflies are getting so big and are always so happy. Izzy and James love rolling around on the play mat. Christian enjoys being in the exersaucer and can now roll over. Callum and Patrick are now reaching for the objects on the play mat and love our new swing that was donated by one of are amazing families. Ivy our newest baby is full of smiles and coos. Jake will be flying on over to the Elephant room and we will miss our happy little guy so much. We hope everyone has a great Mother’s Day!

Happy May, family and friends! We are so excited for nice weather and to be able to go on walks and play outside again! Reece will be transitioning into to the Bird classroom this month; he will be missed. We have a sweet new Anna that has joined us and she is doing great. Elsie, Cheska, and Josie all celebrated their 1st birthdays. Nathan and Oliver love when we sing and play music. Morgan loves the jungle gym and has almost figured out how to get over the top. Hope everybody has a fantastic Memorial Day!

Happy May, Elephant families! We can’t believe summer is just around the corner. We enjoy going outside with the nicer weather. We have new friends, Colin and Jake, flying down from the Butterfly room. We can’t wait to meet them! We have a couple of friends stomping over to the Hippos. We will miss Gloria and Gabe, but they will have fun with their new friends. Our youngest baby Luke is so full of smiles and enjoys mat time. Ella and Leo are crawling all over the place. Mason and Georgia love playing on the mat. Layla loves blowing kisses in the mirror! All of our babies are so wonderful and love playing together. Have a wonderful Memorial Day!

We can’t believe it is already May and Mother’s Day is right around the corner! The Bees have lots of fun activities planned for this month. The colors for this month are pink, black, orange, and grey. We also will be covering shapes this month. Our sweet toddlers are learning new things each day and we enjoy watching them interact with each other. We welcomed Grace from the Hippos and she is adjusting very well! Bella, our oldest toddler, will be moving to the Giraffes and we will miss her so much. Hope everybody has a great month!

Happy Mother’s Day to all of our wonderful mothers! This month, we will be working on our color and shape recognition. We will focus on the colors pink, black, orange, and grey. The shapes for this month are triangle, oval, diamond, and heart. This month, Violet will celebrate her second birthday on the 23rd and will be flying over to the Giraffe room. Reece will be joining us from the Hippo room at the end of the month. In addition, please welcome Ms. Latoya as our new closing teacher. The children love her and she is amazing! The Giraffe Room has been working hard on our letters and numbers, and everyone is doing a great job! We are having lots of fun with the children, watching them learn and grow. We would like to welcome Bella to our jungle. We are so excited to have her! This month, we will be learning about different kinds of transportation and community helpers! We will also be doing some fun summer activities to kick off the summer!

April showers bring May flowers! We’d first like to welcome Audrey, Skylar, Charlotte, and Emma to the Fish room! They have transitioned over from the Frog room and we are thrilled to have them join us! Our themes for the month are Ocean & Beach, Picnic, Camping, Travel & Transportation. We will be working hard on name tracing, cutting, and letter recognition. There are a few birthdays in the Fish room for the month of May: Ms. Tayler (3rd), Audrey (4th), and Emory (12th). Wishing them all a very Happy Birthday!

It is hard to believe that it is already May and that summertime is just around the corner! We are very proud of our preschooler students who have worked so hard all year! With summer comes the end of the preschool year, so the month of May will be spent reviewing the alphabet and everything else we have learned throughout the year. Don’t forget to sign up for Summer Camp. Ms. Jacqueline has some very exciting things planned this summer! The St. Jude’s Trike-a-thon is on May 16-17. It is not only a blast for the kids, it goes to a great cause as well! We would like to wish Hadley a Happy Birthday! We look forward to a fun-filled summer with the kids!
