Preschool 3s

We hope everyone is trying to stay warm! Preschool has a busy month in February. We will be Q, R, and S along with doing many crafts and activities related to Groundhog Day, Dental Health, Valentine’s Day, Friendship and Dr. Seuss.

Literacy

The children will be introduced to the letters Q, R, and S. We will be reading “Little Quack”, “Rap A Tap Tap”, and “Silly Sally”. We will also be reading a few book written by Dr. Seuss. They children will continue to work on identifying their last name as well.

Math

This month we will be making patterns with a Friendship chain. We will also be sorting pompoms by color and matching apples by numbers, and counting how many apples our friends can stack on top of their heads.

Physical

During February the children will be shadow dancing, playing with the parachute, and dancing with a friend for Gross Motor. For Fine Motor we will be using tweezers and scissors.

Science

The children will be going outside to see if they see their shadow and playing with snakes and straws in a sensory tub. For our STEAM activities we will be experimenting with “Fizzy Hearts” and mixing colors with a friend.

Reminders

• Please make sure your child brings their folder every Preschool day.
• Valentine’s Day Party is on February 13th. Please bring in your child’s decorated box with their name on it!
