Happy Thanksgiving!
We have a fun month planned for all the children, especially with Pilgrim Indian Day. I will be posting a sign-up sheet for volunteers to help and will be sending more information out at a later day. I want to wish all of you and your family a Happy Thanksgiving. If you ever have any questions about anything, please let me know. My email is [email protected].
What are We Learning
Literacy
We will be reviewing the letters K, L, M, and N, with the letter sounds, and thinking of words that start with each letter. We will have a letter review at the end of the month to review letters A-N.
Math
The children will be counting turkey feathers, sorting M&Ms by color, tracing numbers, and making feathers on turkeys with play dough counting mats.
Science
We will be talking about the colors of turkeys and feeling turkey feathers. We will do a “Magic Milk” experiment and explore in the sensory table with corn.
Physical
For Fine Motor, we will be tracing lines on the light table, picking up marshmallows with tweezers, and stringing noodles to make necklaces. We will also be having a turkey baster relay with feathers. For Gross Motor, the children will be going on a “Listening Walk”, tossing bean bags, and walking on the balance beam.
