Preschool 4s
Happy April everyone! Spring is finally here and we are all ready for some warmer weather and some beautiful flowers! We have a month full of letters that will take us all the way to the letter Z! Don’t forget, we also have a field trip this month where we will be going to a Walter Knoll Florist greenhouse and we will get to plant some gorgeous spring flowers!
Literacy
This month we will be working with the letters V, W, X, Y, and Z. While these last few letters are some of the most difficult, they also make for some very fun books for us to read such as Verdi, If You Give a Pig a Pancake, and Inside a Zoo in the City.
Math
This month, we are getting close and closer to our 100th day of school! Every day, at the end of class, we count how many days of school we have had. The kids are all so excited to get to 100 that some of them count the days during playtime too!
Fine Motor
During April, we will get to use our fine motor skills by practicing our button and snap vests during V week and we will get to practice our zippers during Z week. Also during Z week, we will practice cutting Zig-Zag lines!
Art
For April we will be making lots of fun projects to go with our letters! We will be cutting and gluing vegetables for V, a watermelon for W, X Marks the Spot, a YoYo for Y and, of course, a Zebra for Z!
