Are your closets, drawers, cupboards, and book shelves packed with things that you don’t need and will never use? Do you have 31 “extra” pillowcases like I do?
If you answered “Yes” to any of the questions, I have one more question for you… Would you like to free yourself from clutter with less work than you think, and benefit St. Philip’s at the same time? If so, I have an idea.
Savers Thrift Store, across from the former Crestwood Plaza, accepts donations from charitable institutions… and pays the organization!
All that would be required of us would be to bag and box items and transport items (all at one time) to Savers. This idea has been introduced at council, but no firm plans have been made. Input from the congregation about the level of interest will help us decide if this is a worthwhile project. If you are interested in contributing, please let me know. Details to follow.
