Mrs. Julie’s Preschool 3s

During April, we will be learning about the life cycle of a butterfly, celebrating Week of the Young Child, Easter, Weather, and Pets. We will introduce the letters T, U, V, W, X, Y, and Z.

Literacy

The children will continue Zoophonics to learn the letter sounds of the letters we have learned already and will continue we reach the letter Z. We will be learning about the rest of the letters this month.

Math

The children will be counting blocks while we build towers, doing Easter patterns, counting worms, and doing a rainbow color sort. We will also be working on recognizing numbers 1-10.

Physical

For Fine Motor, the children will be tracing names, painting with Q-Tips, and zipping zippers for the letter Z. For Gross Motor, we will be Fence Painting a mural, Easter Bunny Freeze Dance, and doing ABC Yoga.

Science

The children will be talking about what colors we can make when we mix certain colors together, and play in an Easter and Rain sensory bin. We will also see how a volcano erupts and Rain in a Jar.

Reminders

• No Preschool on April 4th due to Parent Teacher Conferences.
• No Preschool on April 9th due to field trip the following day.
• Field trip to Walter Knoll Florist on Wednesday, April 10th.
