What are We Learning
Literacy
We will be reviewing the letters H, I, and J with the letter sounds, and thinking of words that start with each letter. The children will continue to spell their name and practice writing their name. We will also start with last name recognition.
Math
The children will be counting farm animals, inchworms and jellyfish, measuring farm animals, and graphing turkeys. We will also be making patterns in ice cube trays.
Science
We will have hearts and jewels on the light table, experiment with “mud” and inchworms, and play in jello. We will also talk about what different foods we like to eat on Thanksgiving while playing “Yes, Please. No, Thank You.”
Physical
For Gross Motor, we will have Horse Trot races, play Hopscotch, Hammer the Letter H, and walk on a Jellyfish Balance Beam. For Fine Motor, the children use tweezers with honeycombs, paint with Q-Tips while counting inchworms, and building igloos with sugar cubes.
