Savers is a re-sale shop located across from the former Crestwood Mall. They pay charitable organizations for donations of clothing, shoes, linens, books, magazines, and household items.

The program is essentially a way to raise funds by having a “rummage sale” without all of the work! The items need to be delivered all at the same time, so that they can be weighed to determine how much the church will be paid.

The Savers organization has many goals including: providing employment, providing quality goods at low cost, encouraging recycling, and decreasing the volume of discarded items that go into land fills. Items not sold at their stores are donated to local charities, sent overseas to needy individuals, or recycled.

We hope to organize a drive to collect items in the Fall. Stay tuned for details.
