Happy New Year! We hope that everyone had a great time relaxing with friends and families over our Christmas break. I’m sure the children are ready to start learning again. We will be introducing the letters M, N, and O with Missy the Mouse, Nigel the Night Owl, and Olive the Octopus.

Literacy

The children will be doing Zoophonics to learn the letter sounds of the letters we have learned already and will continue with new letters. The letters we will be talking about this month will be M, N, and O. We will also start writing our names without tracing them.

Math

The children will be measuring lines with links, doing a shape match with Nigel the Night Owl, and counting and lacing beads on Olive the Octopus’ tentacles.

Physical

The children will be lacing noodles and cutting newspaper to make a collage for Fine Motor. For Gross Motor, we will be doing One Minute Movements and walking on a number line.

Science

This month the children will be mixing colors with pipettes and playing with night sky play dough. We will also be talking and learning about out Five Senses.

Reminders

• Please make sure your child brings their folder EVERY preschool day.
• Lending Library will resume on Thursday, January 9th. If your child still has a book out, please have them bring it back so they are able to check out another book.
