January 2020 Preschool Press
Mrs. Julie’s Preschool 4s
From the Teacher
Welcome 2020!
We are excited to get back into Preschool. We will pick up with our letters where we left off; the kiddos are doing great with them. We are going to be talking about winter animals, snowmen, and Groundhog Day. We will also be learning about our Five Senses.
If you ever have any questions about anything, please let me know. My email is [email protected].

What are We Learning
Literacy
We will be reviewing the letters M, N, and O with the letter sounds, and thinking of words that start with each letter. We will be reading “The Mitten” and “Snowman At Night” and doing many activities related to the book. We will end the month talking about Groundhog Day.
Math
The children will be measuring lines with links, putting numbers in order with snowflakes, and lacing beads on octopus tentacles.
Science
We will be mixing colors with pipettes, experimenting with “Magic Milk,” and talking about octopus facts. We will also have a week when we learn about our Five Senses.
Physical
For Fine Motor, the children will be cutting newspaper to make a collage, exploring with what objects are magnetic, and playing with “Snow Dough.” For Gross Motor, we will be doing One Minute Movements and Shadow Dancing.
