From the Pastor's Desk
Rev. Mike Krewson

The idea that you have to be constantly working and unhappily grinding to be successful. ‘Always working’ is an idea worth questioning, challenging, and surpassing.

A better idea is that rest, recovery, and reflection are essential parts of becoming the person God wants us to be! Living a successful and happy life should involve ‘being’ as much as ‘doing’. This Lent, let’s follow our spirits, into a better way!

Lent 2022 Series: Good Enough

Seeking perfection can block us from blooming where we are planted. You are invited, this Lent, to stop climbing ladders toward perfection. Worship themes will explore the idea of ‘Good Enough’ from several perspectives:

March 2, 6:30 pm

“Perfection is impossible. Transformation isn’t.”
Matthew 6:1-6, 16-21

Sunday, March 6

Luke 13:1-9

Sunday, March 27

“So much is out of our control.”
Luke 13:31-35

Sunday, April 3
Communion Sunday

“We are Finite.”
John 12: 1-8

Sunday, April 10
Palm Sunday

“You are a group project.”
Luke 19: 28-40

“A Good Enough Faith”
John 20: 1-18

Hope will win over despair and life over death! A good enough faith is one that moves through life’s stress with an eye for resurrection moments that assure us that this ‘good enough’ life is worthy of our amazement.

You are invited to join this Lenten journey here at St. Phillip’s United Church of Christ!
