What are We Learning
Literacy
We will learn about the letters M, N, and O with Zoophonics. We will meet Missie the Mouse, Nigel the Night Owl, and Olive the Octopus. We will continue to review all the letters we have learned this year as well.
Math
The children will measure shapes, count mermaids, fish for numbers, and lace numbered octopus legs with beads.
Physical
For fine motor, the children will trace shapes, lace noodles, and make an octopus with play dough. For gross motor, we will do One Minute Movements, walk the number line, and go through an obstacle course.
Science
In the first week, we will be introduced to our Five Senses. The children will paint with Jell-O water for scent, make sound tubes for sound, mix colors on the light table for sight, feel different textures, and taste lemons. We will also have Dr. Lang visit to talk to us about Dental Health.
Social/Emotional
We will be graphing if we like lemons, asking play Octopus Stew with letters, and answer our “Yes/No” weekly questions.

Reminders
Please remember folders need to be brought to school EVERY Preschool day.
Lending Library books will be checked out on January 10th (returned on January 17th) and January 24th (returned on January 31st).
Valentine’s Party will be on February 14th. I will send out more information when the time gets closer.
