What are We Learning
Literacy
We will review the letters V, W, X, and Y this month. We will be reading “Stellaluna,” “Where The Wild Things Are,” “Felix Feels Better,” and “See the Yak, Yak.”
Math
The children will be counting vampire bats, yellow objects, and flowers. We will also make watermelon shapes, measure flowers, and make a number line (1-20) with flowers.
Physical
For fine motor, the children will use water droppers to make volcanos, paint with watercolors, and make X-rays with Q-Tips. For gross motor, we will do Wild Thing Actions, jumping on Xs, and ABCs of Yoga.
Science
This month, we will be learning about the Water Cycle. We will read, “The Great Big Water Cycle” and “Little Rainbow.” The children will create a Rain Cloud with Gravity painting and put the Water Cycle in sequence order. We will also explore in a cloud sensory bin.
Social/Emotional
The children will be making a list of items we pack when we go on vacation, talk about the life cycle of a flower, and sing “Willabee, Wallabee,” which is a rhyming song using the children’s names. We will also go on a hunt for exit signs throughout the building.

Reminders
Library check out dates will be on April 6th (due on April 13th) and April 20th (due on April 29th)
Please make sure your child has their folder EVERY Monday, Wednesday, and Friday.
