What are We Learning

Literacy

We will learn about the letters X, Y, and Z with Zoophonics. We will meet Xavier the Fox, Yancy the Yak, and Zeke the Zebra. We will continue to review all the letters we have learned this year as well. The children will continue to practice writing names and start to recognize last names.

Math

The children will count stickers to decorate Easter eggs and graph jelly beans for Easter. We will also build with number yellow number blocks and sort big and small in zippered pouches.

Physical

For fine motor, the children will write with bones for X-rays and make shapes with yarn. For gross motor, we will Freeze Dance Easter style and do ABC Yoga. We will also have our annual Trike-A-Thon.

Science

The children will explore with Peep play dough, paint with yogurt, and mix colors with yellow to see new colors we can make.

Social/Emotional

The children will graph if they like jellybeans, do Easter Zoophonics, go on a hunt for Exit signs, and Learn the Letter Z with Jack Hartman.

• April 3-7 – Week of the Young Child
• April 27 – No Preschool (Fish Room Trike-A-Thon)

Reminders

Please remember folders need to be brought to school EVERY Tuesday and Thursday.

Lending Library books will be checked out on April 11th (returned April 18th) and April 25th (returned May 2nd).
