Nicer weather is hopefully coming soon. Please make sure your child wears appropriate shoes since we will be going outside for activities.

What are We Learning

Literacy

We will learn about the letters U, V, and W with Zoophonics. We will meet Umber the Umbrella Bird, Vincent the Vampire Bat, and Willie the Weasel. We will continue to review all the letters we have learned this year as well.

Math

The children will make birds with tangrams, count bats, and make patterns with colors.

Physical

For fine motor, we will draw pictures while laying under the table, use tweezers to pick up bats, and put together puzzles. For gross motor, we will go on a leprechaun hunt, toss bean bags in an umbrella, and do an “Under Over Obstacle Course.”

Science

The children will explore in a unicorn sensory bin, play with bat slime, and make colorful watermelons. We will also dig for gold coins for St. Patrick’s Day.

Social/Emotional

The children will work together to sort pictures to the correct letter and answer “Have You Ever Seen A Leprechaun?”

Reminders

Please remember folders need to be brought to school EVERY Tuesday and Thursday.

Lending Library books will be checked out on March 7th (returned March 14th) and March 28th (returned April 4th).
