What are We Learning

Literacy

We will review the letters K and L and have a letter review. We will find the letter K, put them in our Kangaroo pouch, and play “Pass the Letter Bag.” The children will also search for and match elf letters.

Math

The children will match kites to numbers and make a ladybug number line. We will also count with Santa’s Roll and Cover and make a string of lights with numbers.

Physical

For fine motor, we will unlock locks with keys, make key rubbings, and make play dough Christmas trees. For gross motor, the children will do a Kangaroo hop and Lotto Bean Bag toss.

Science

We will make key impressions in play dough and play with Christmas tree slime. We will also experiment with lava lamps and a Peppermint.

Social/Emotional

The children will play “Where Are the Kings” while trying to find the letter K in a deck of cards. We will also go on a Candy Cane hunt and play memory with “silver bells.”
