A Note from Preschool

What are We Learning

Literacy

We will be learning about Lizzy the Lizard and Missy the Mouse for the letters L and M. We will talk about Santa, and learn new words that start with L & M.

Math

The children will count ladybug spots and count with Mermaids. They will practice sorting colors with M&M’s.

Physical

For fine motor, we will build with lincoln logs and trace letter Ms and our names. For gross motor, we will walk on lines and play a one minute movement game.

Science

The children will play with lemon play dough, watch lava erupt, and make shapes with gingerbread-scented playdough.

Social/Emotional

We will graph if children have ever held a ladybug or roasted marshmallows. We will also go on a candy cane hunt.

Important Dates

• December 2 – Mitten Mania Starts
• December 7 – PJs and Pancakes with Santa from 9:00 am to 10:30 am
• December 20 – Elf Day
• December 23 to January 5 – No Preschool
• December 25 – Center Closed
• December 31 – Mitten Mania Ends

Reminders

Please remember to bring your child’s preschool folder every Tuesday and Thursday so we can send home your child’s work in it.

We will be having Elf Day on Friday, December 20th, with Preschool 3s. Please be on the lookout for more information when the time gets closer.
