What are We Learning

📚 Literacy

We will learn about letters W, X, Y, and Z using Zoo Phonics.
We’ll meet Willie the Weasel, Xavier the Fox, Yancy the Yak, and Zeke the Zebra.
Children will continue practicing writing their names and begin recognizing their last names.

🔢 Math

Children will build numbers using yellow blocks and practice graphing with jelly beans.

---

🏃‍♀️ Physical Development

Fine Motor:

• Writing with “bones” for x-rays
• Creating shapes with yarn

Gross Motor:

• “Wild Things” action activities
• ABC Yoga
• Participation in our annual Trike-A-Thon

🔬 Science

Children will:

• Paint with yogurt
• Mix colors using yellow to discover new color combinations

---

❤️ Social & Emotional

Children will:

• Discuss what they would do if they were “wild”
• Go on an Exit Sign hunt
• Learn about the letter Z with Jack Hartmann

• April 23–24: No Preschool (Fish Room Trike-A-Thon)
