What are We Learning

Literacy

We will learn about the letters P, Q, and R with Zoophonics. We will meet Pee Wee the Penguin, Queeny the Quail, and Robbie the Rabbit. We will continue to review all the letters we have learned this year as well.

Math

The children will start the month making heart patterns and graphing conversation hearts. We will also make shapes with Goldfish, count coins, and complete 10 frames with rainbows.

Physical

For fine motor, we will lace hearts, stack hearts, and use tweezers to put pom pom on the letter P. For gross motor, the children will play musical hearts, exercise with the parachute, and jump on a rainbow.

Science

The children will sort hearts on the light table, look at quartz with magnify glasses, and write names in rainbow rice.

Social/Emotional

The children will exchange valentines, answer if they like popcorn, make pizzas together, and hop on a rabbit number line.

Reminders

Please remember folders need to be brought to school EVERY Tuesday and Thursday.

Lending Library books will be checked out on February 3rd (returned on February 10th) and February 17th (returned on February 24th).
