Your church council is excited to tell you that effective December 1, Laura Mignerone will be our new pastor. She will be with us half time, and with St. John in St. Clair the other half.

Rev. Laura Mignerone was born into and nurtured in faith at Ivy Chapel UCC (Chesterfield), graduated from Elmhurst University in 2008, graduated from Eden Theological Seminary in 2011, and is currently enrolled in the doctoral program at Eden. Fresh out of seminary, she served Zion UCC (Troy, MO) for 3.5 years, and then found St. John UCC (St. Clair, MO), where she has served as pastor and teacher since 2015. Pastor Laura lives in Eureka, MO, with her 8-year-old son, Gabe. She enjoys theatre, bicycling, camping, having all the fun adventures she can with her child, and getting mixed up in all manner of shenanigans along the way. She’s the endearing kind of quirky (she’s got references), geeks out about the nerdiest stuff, has a compassionate and caring heart, and listens deeply for the whispers of the Spirit. And, she can’t wait to get to know you and share in ministry together with you!

We hope you will come to meet Pastor Laura in person on December 4, her first day to preach at St. Philip’s. We think you’ll see why the council is so pleased to have her with us!
