Our March selection is Educated by Tara Westover, a New York Times Best Seller which has been described as a “wise and deep reflection about surviving one’s family.”

It tells the story of a young girl’s escape from violence and emotional prison, the ferocity of the human spirit, and the power of education to change lives.

Our next selection, The Light Between Oceans by M. L. Stedman, is set on a remote island nearly a century ago. The main characters are a lighthouse keeper and his wife who are faced with difficult choices. A reviewer described reading it as a total immersion experience, about good people, tragic decisions, and the beauty found in each of them. We will discuss it on April 30. Consider joining Book Club. We always have a good time. Reading the book is not required to attend the meetings and discussions.
