Preschool 4s
February is here and we are ready for some extra fun Valentine’s Day projects that are just around the corner! And, Valentine’s Day projects means that our Valentine’s Day party is coming up too! Our party sign-up sheet will be hanging outside the classroom! I will also be sending home a list of the kids in our class for filling out your extra special Valentine’s cards!
Literacy
This month we will be working with the letters Q, R, and S. The kids are on a roll with recognizing their uppercase and lowercase letters and they are doing an amazing job using their Zoophonics to remember the letter sounds! We will also be reading lots of Valentine’s Day books this month!
Math
This month, we are working on practicing recognizing numbers past ten and figuring out what numbers go into making bigger numbers. We will also be practicing our opposites such as long/short, big/small, and more/less.
Fine Motor
During February, we will be practicing our fine motor skills by using many different objects! We will be painting with Q-tips, using our dry erase books to practice tracing, and we will make our very own heart name puzzle.
Art
This month we will be making some extra fun projects to go with our letters! We will be making a queen for Q, a road with cars for R, and a silly snowman for S. Also, We have lots of fun Valentine’s Day crafts to make including a pouch to hold all of our Valentine’s that we get!
