Daycare Days

Welcome Back!

We’d like to welcome you to a new school year at St. Philip’s Early Childhood Center. For the first time in six years, there will be no construction or additions of any kind. However, it now gives us time to dedicate to our program, as a whole and that is very exciting. For example, the year began with KidsReports and continued with the new St. Philip’s Center Library. The new library will now be available to all the children in our program. We also purchased several classroom toys over the summer and recently invested in educational toys and materials for our preschool and enrichment programs. Continue to look for more improvements throughout the year.

We’re also very excited Pastor Mike Krewson accepted the position at St. Philip’s UCC. Pastor Mike will be officially installed in September; we invite our ECC families to join us for a weekend of festivities. Pastor began reading to the children in our program over the summer and continues each week. We look forward to partnering with Pastor Mike and the UCC in the future for even more projects.

Important Updates/Reminders

At the Open House event in August, parents should have received our updated Parent Policy Handbook. If you weren’t able to attend the event, please look for it in your child’s cubby. There have been updates made to the handbook so please take a look at it.

  • Office hours are now 6:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
  • New rates effective September 3, 2018
  • Annual registration fees due September 28, 2018
  • Withdrawal notice updated
  • Tuition Express available for online payments
  • Updated immunizations needed for December

Happy September! We can’t believe summer is over and a new school year has begun. We are looking forward to fall with all our sweet butterflies. Patrick and Callum moved on up to the Elephant Room and we will miss them so much. We welcome Nora, Violet, Lily, Fritz and Adam. We are so happy to have them be apart of our room and are excited to see them learn and grow each day. Our oldest babies, Giulia and Joseph love scooting on the floor and are working on sitting up all by themselves. We look forward to the upcoming months with our babies and helping them reach their milestones and hope to see you all at the upcoming events that we have planned for the school year.

Hello families! It’s hard to believe that September is already here, & the cooler weather is on the way! There are so many fun things to look forward to this month, lots of arts & crafts. We will be saying goodbye to Christian who will be stomping over to the Hippo Room. We are also saying hello to Joseph who will be flying over from the Butterfly room. Fall festival is right around the corner hope to see you there!!!!!

Hello Families and Friends! We can’t believe summer is officially over and another school year has begun. The Hippos have a lot of fun activities and fall carafts planned for this month and we are excited to welcome new friends to our room. We are saying goodbye to Layla as she flys on up to the Bird Room. We have a lot of one year old friends with us, Gabe, Georgia, Anna, and Mason this month. Colin will be joining the bunch as he turns the big ONE! We will also be having our Fall Festival this month on September 15th we hope that all of our families can join us! Thank You!

Our busy bees are ready for September! This month we’ll be learning about the Colors- Blue, Purple, White, Pink, Shapes-Ovals, Diamonds, Hearts & Rectangles during our fun lessons. We are starting off the school year with Ben, Cheska, Ella, Grace, Josie, Leo, Oliver & Nettie. If you have any questions or concerns about our classroom please feel free to let our teachers know.

Summer is ending and the new school year has begun. We would like to wish Frankie and Teagan a very Happy Birthday and would like to welcome Jensen to our jungle. This month we will be learning about our 5 senses and space as well as having fun with old nursery rhymes. Everyone is doing a great job on their letters and counting to 10! We are excited to continue watching the children grow and learn.

We can’t believe it’s September already! We are very excited to welcome Ms. Amanda to our room, she’s been a fantastic addition! Our Frogs will continue working on our weekly letters, numbers, colors, and shapes with our weekly themes being Space (E, 9, White & Circle) Police & Fireman (F, 10 Red, Square), Fall (G, 1, Green, Triangle) and Transportation (H, 2, Yellow & Rectangle). As the temperature cools down please bring in a light jacket or sweatshirt for your child on the cooler mornings when we go outside.

September is here and the Fish Room is getting ready to dive into learning. We will be learning All About Me, Colors and Shape review, Apples, Leaves and Fall. The Fish will be working hard on the letters A & B. We will practice tracing /writing our names, using scissors and working on using our words, expressing our emotions and practicing sharing. This month we would like to welcome Ms. Cloe to our room she is our new closer. In addition, we would like to welcome our new friend Libby to our class. We say goodbye to our friend Peyton as he swims over to join the Monkeys. This month we will be celebrating Olivia’s birthday on September 3rd.

Hello Monkey Parents! What a wonderful summer we have had here at St. Philip’s. Thanks to Ms. Jacqueline, we had such a fun summer of crafts, field trips and water play days! We are so excited to start the new year with our new Fishy Friends that moved up over the summer and our new friend Peyton who will be joining us from the Fish Room in September! This month the Monkey’s will be starting preschool on the 4th and 5th of September. The first two weeks in September the Monkey’s will be working on learning about their classmates and reviewing what they learned last year in preschool. The rest of September they will be focusing on the letter A – D and starting to talk about Fall, leaves and apples. This month we have our Fall Festival on the 15th of September 10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m., We love this event and so do the kids, make sure to mark your calendars! We would to wish Jack and Max a very Happy Birthday this month! We can’t wait to have a wonderful year with our Monkey friends!
