Mrs. Julie’s Preschool 3s

The first month of Preschool is already over and we are ready for Fall! We will be learning about deers, elephants, fish, and gorillas as we introduce the letters D, E, F, and G with Zoophonics. We will also be talking about Fire Safety, Pumpkins, and have fun a fun Halloween week!

Literacy

We will continue with name recognition, tracing, and spelling activities. The children will learn about the letters D, E, F, and G by saying their sound and thinking of words that start with these letters. We will also do an Elephant Letter Stomp, Letter Fishing, and spelling our name with lily pads.

Math

The children will be matching animals with dominoes, counting elephants, and walk the web with numbers. We will also be drawing shapes in flour, sorting green objects, and stacking numbered spiders.

Physical

For Fine Motor, the children will be making deer tracks in playdough, paint at the easel, and fish cutting. They will be dancing on dots, frog jumping, and playing Red Light Green Light for Gross Motor.

Science

The children will be flash light dancing, playing with frogs in the sensory bin, and matching colors. We will also have spider webs and spiders on the light table and playing with Witches’ Brew slime!

Reminders

• No Preschool on October 8th due to the Pumpkin Patch Field Trip on October 9th.
• Trunk-Or-Treat on October 12th!
