Dear Parents,
Well, I know it’s hard to believe but it’s that time of year again. The big man in the red suit is on his way much sooner than expected! This Friday, December 1, 2017, we’re hosting a Parents’ Night Out to help with any Christmas shopping you may have. And we ‘ll be hosting our third annual Cocoa with Claus. Ms. Jacqueline has added a few more stations this year including Mrs. Claus! Tickets are available in the office. It is $5 per child and an additional $3 per picture.
The center will be closed December 25, 2017. The center also closes at 4:00 p.m. on December 31, 2017, for New Year’s Eve. As a reminder, you are still responsible for full payment unless you have requested vacation days for any closures. Any weather closures can be found at KSDK.com or on Channel 5 as well as on Facebook.
The teachers want to make sure your child has an extra change of winter clothes in the classroom in case of accidents. In addition, please make sure your children wear warm coats as well as hats and gloves. We still take the children outside twice a day (it just may be for ten minutes instead of thirty). And label everything to avoid things being misplaced or taken by accident!
Our board has approved my proposal to go digital. After much research, we have decided on HiMama, a highly rated child care app for easy parent communication, digital daily reports and paperless educational documentation. In January, there will be no more paper sign-in/out sheets or daily reports. The board has purchased iPads for the classrooms and the leads have the month of December to learn the app. However, if you do not sign your child in for the day, you will not receive a daily report. We will still perform a daily report due to state licensing regulations, but it will not send it to your account. Please be diligent and practice signing in on a regular basis this month!!! Twinkle, twinkle, little star, Christmas isn’t very far!!! Elsie, Ella, and Leo will be joining the Elephant Room in the Haven. We will miss them, but they will love their new adventure. We want to welcome Layla, Collin, and Georgia to our Butterfly Room. We can’t wait to meet them! Oliver is so cute; he is on his knees and ready to take off. Gabe and Gloria are so sweet; they both have the sweetest smiles and the cutest sounds. They love the floor gym, bubbles, and story time. Have a wonderful Christmas and a Happy New Year!

Happy holidays, families and friends! We can’t believe it is already December and Christmas is just around the corner. We have lots of fun Christmas crafts planned for our babies this month. Our hippos are getting so big and two of our babies, Jack and Gabriel, moved up to the toddler rooms to join the big kids. Eleanor and Nellie are now pulling up onto things. Jenson and Ben enjoy crawling around the room together. Nettie is scooting all over the place and loves to explore and Lucy is now walking all by herself! Grace stomped over to the Elephant Room to join us as well. We are going to have a great month and hope everyone enjoys their Christmas!!!

Merry Christmas, families!!! I can’t believe it’s Christmas time! We are excited to start all our fun Christmas crafts. Please feel free to see our art hanging up in our classroom. We are sad to say goodbye to our Grace and Reece as they are moving over to join the Hippo Room! We will miss them. We have some new friends flying down from the Butterfly Room. We are happy to meet Elsie, Ella, and Leo. Josie and Cheska are growing up to be such big girls. They love to babble to each other and all of their friends; it’s so cute to watch. Nathan loves to watch himself in the mirror as he plays in the jumper. Morgan loves to roll all over the mat playing with her friends. Hope everyone enjoys the holidays! Seasons Greetings! 2017 is coming to an end and the Bees are looking forward to the holiday projects and activities we will be doing. We are doing a lot of hands-on activities and some super fun explorations! Stop by and see our cute art projects on the display outside our classroom. We would like to welcome Jack to our hive. Reminder: Cocoa with Claus is December 8, 2017, from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. We hope to see everybody there! With colder weather here, please make sure your child has weather appropriate extra change of clothes and coat, hat, and mittens for outside time. This month, we will be focusing on the colors green, purple, white, and black. We will focus on the shapes square, circle, triangle, and oval. We will learn about robots, Candyland, Christmas, and New Year’s. We have been working on using our words, gentle touches, using spoons, helping clean the tables, and throwing away our paper towels. During circle time, we are working on color and shape recognition, body parts, and animal sounds. We would like to say goodbye to Miss Kristi and congratulate her on her new job opportunity. Please join us in welcoming Miss Layken. We had to say goodbye to Avett as he is now a big tall Giraffe. We would like to welcome Gabe to our nest. Miss Lakyen (on the 16
th) and Miss Brittney (on the 22

Christmas time is here and we are so excited for all of our Christmas crafts and games. We will be working on the letters R-U and numbers 10-3. We would like to wish a Happy Birthday to Asa! We would also like to welcome Avett from the Bird Room. We are so excited to have our new friend. We will still be going outside as weather permits, so please make sure your child comes with an appropriate coat, gloves, and hat. You can always leave hat and gloves in the cubbies if that is easier. Please remember to sign your child in and out daily, and check the cubbies for any artwork. Happy Holidays!

Hello Frog Parents! This month, our weekly themes are Candyland (R, 10, green, heart), Winter (S, 1, blue, crescent moon), Christmas (T, 2, purple, star), and New Year’s (U, 3, pink, circle). The Fish room is excited for Santa!!! We have already started listening to Christmas music! We will be talking about Santa and his Reindeer, candy canes, gingerbread, Christmas, and New Year’s. We will be introduced to the letters J and K, and then review all the letters we have learned so far this year. We are going to have a Christmas/Pajama Party on December 22

We hope everybody had a very Happy Thanksgiving full of family and friends! This month in the Monkey Room, we will be working on the letters J and K. Be on the lookout for some beautiful jewels and some hopping kangaroos! We will also be celebrating Christmas and New Year’s with lots of awesome and colorful projects!
