Happy New Year! We hope that everyone had a great time relaxing with friends and families over our Christmas break. I’m sure the children are ready to start learning again. We will be introducing the letters L, M, N, and O this month, along with doing many crafts and activities related to winter.

Literacy

The children will be doing Zoophonics to learn the letter sounds of the letters we have learned already and will continue with new letters. The letters we will be talking about this month will be L, M, N, and O. We will also start writing our names without tracing them.

Math

The children will be matching numbers with hot chocolate and marshmallows, mittens, and dinosaurs. We will be measuring lengths with links, counting penguins, and also hunting for numbers.

Physical

We will be lacing the letter L, tracing numbers, making dinosaur fossils, and playing with winter playdough for Fine Motor. For Gross Motor, the children will be dancing on lines, having a snowball fight, and doing the Penguin Dance and Dinosaur Actions.

Science

This month, the children will be playing with colored ice cubes on the light table and collecting magnetic letters with wands. We will also play with dinosaurs with a dinosaur sensory bin.

Reminders

• Please make sure your child brings their folder every Preschool day.
• Lending Library books are due every Tuesdays. Your child can not check out another book until they bring the previous book back.
