January 2019 Preschool Press
Mrs. Julie’s Preschool 4s
Welcome 2019!
We are excited to get back into Preschool. We will pick up with our letters where we left off; we don’t have many more to review! We are going to be talking about dinosaurs while reviewing all our letters at the end of the month.
If you ever have any questions about anything, please let me know. My email is [email protected].
What are We Learning
Literacy
We will be reviewing the letters S, T, U, V, and W with the letter sounds, and thinking of words that start with each letter. We will be reading “The Mitten” and doing many activities related to the book. We will end the month with a letter review at the end of the month to review letters A-W while learning about dinosaurs.
Math
The children will be building number towers, putting mittens in number order (1-20), steps to make hot chocolate, and coloring shapes per directions.
Science
We will playing with stars on the light table, Under the Sea sensory, making a volcano, and experimenting with different types of playdough.
Physical
For Fine Motor, the children will be using tweezers and pompoms, winter puzzles, tracing letters and numbers, and cutting and gluing dinosaur masks. For Gross Motor, the children will be doing Tooty-Ta, tossing a ball underhand, Penguin Actions, and Dinosaur Stomp.
