Mrs. Julie’s Preschool 3s
Can you believe Christmas is right around the corner? Well the Preschool 3’s class will be introduced to the letters K and L while reviewing all the letters we have learned so far this year. We will also do activities about Santa and Christmas.
Literacy
The children will be introduced to the letters K and L by saying their sound and thinking of words that start with these letters. We will continue to use Zoophonics to help learn the letter sounds. We will then review letters A to L before we go on our Christmas break.
Math
We will be counting lizards and lima beans. We will also be recognizing the numbers of 1 – 10 on Gingerbread Men. The children will be matching bodies of Christmas characters to see what funny new characters they can make.
Physical
For Gross Motor, we will be doing a Kangaroo Hop, Kicking Balloons, and doing Reindeer Boot Camp. Our Fine Motor skills will include cutting kites and painting the letter L with Legos.
Science
The children will be experimenting with Lava by making a Lava Lamp. We will also make play dough Christmas Trees and explore Grinch Slime.
Reminders
- Please bring your child’s folder EVERY preschool day.
- Donuts with Dasher on December 7th.
- Santa’s House Field Trip on December 12th.
- Christmas Party December 19th. Look for details in folders.
- Christmas Break December starts on December 23rd and will resume on Jan. 7th.
