Mrs. Julie’s Preschool 3s

We will be introducing the letters P, Q, and R this month. We will also be talking about Valentine’s Day and Friendship. At the end of the month, we will be celebrating Dr. Seuss’ Birthday!

Literacy

The children will continue Zoophonics to learn the letter sounds of the letters we have learned already and will continue with new letters. The letters we will be talking about this month will be P, Q, and R. The children will also continue to review all the letters we have learned and practice writing our names.

Math

The children will be counting pigs, making heart patterns, making shapes with rubber bands, and doing a rubber band number match. We will be doing number recognition at circle time.

Physical

For Fine Motor, we will be use play dough to help us floss, put on a puppet show, trace hearts, and lace beads to make bracelets. Gross Motor will consist of going on a heart hunt, doing a Friendship Train, and doing a Cat In The Hat Balancing.

Science

We will be sorting hearts on the light table, playing with a Quacking Duck Pond, and experimenting with Goop. In our sensory table will be Valentine’s objects and then Dr. Seuss related at the end of the month.

Reminders

• Please make sure your child brings their folder every Preschool day.
• Lending Library books are due every Tuesdays. Your child can not check out another book until they bring the previous book back.
