Fall is officially here and Preschool is ready for Thanksgiving! We will be learning about horses, inchworms, and jellyfish as we introduce the letters H, I, and J with Zoophonics. We will also be talking about Pilgrims, Indians, and Thanksgiving.

Literacy

We will continue with name recognition, tracing, and name spelling activities. The children will learn about the letters H, I, and J by saying their sound and thinking of words that start with these letters. We will also play I Spy Letters and write our names in Indian Corn Squish Bags.

Math

The children will be measuring farm animals, horse number match, and counting jungle animals. We will also be matching numbers with pumpkin pie pieces and cotton balls (cool whip) when we talk about Thanksgiving.

Physical

For Fine Motor, we will be tracing numbers, using tweezers with honeycombs, and building igloos with sugar cubes. The children will be doing a Cowboy Dance, Hopping on Numbers, and Jumping for Js for Gross Motor.

Science

The children will be talking about which animals live on the farm, have hearts and jewels on the light table, inchworm sensory bin, and looking at insects with magnify glasses. We will also be painting with jello and smelling the different scents.

Reminders

• Please bring your child’s folder EVERY preschool day.
• No Preschool on Thursday, November 21st.
• Pilgrim Indian Day on Friday, November 22nd.
