Happy Valentine’s Day!
February will be a short month but filled with many special events and activities. We will be celebrating Valentine’s Day, President’s Day, and Dr. Seuss’ birthday.

What are We Learning
Literacy
We will be reviewing the letters X, Y, and Z with the letter sounds, and thinking of words that start with each letter. The children will be tracing letters, name stamping, letter sound and picture matching, rainbow names, and secret letters.
Math
The children will makings shapes with yarn, counting yellow objects to 20, filling in the missing number, and counting conversational hearts.
Science
We will look at x-rays, have hearts on the light table, explore in a Valentine and Dr. Seuss sensory bin, mix yellow and blue to make green eggs, and experiment with “Fizzy Hearts.”
Physical
The children will be lacing the letter Y, lacing beads to make Valentine bracelets, cut zig-zags, and play with green play dough for Fine Motor. For Gross Motor, we will be doing ABCs of Yoga, I have… who has?, and the Cat in the Hat Balancing.
