Mrs. Julie’s Preschool 4s
Happy St. Patrick’s Day!
During March, we will be learning about our 5 Senses, St. Patrick’s Day, and Insects. We will also start exposure to sight words when we return from Spring Break.
If you ever have any questions about anything, please let me know. My email is [email protected].
What are We Learning
Literacy
We will be reviewing all of the letters this month and hunting for gold coin letters in a rainbow. We will be starting sight words this month with “I,” “like,” and “see.”
Math
The children will be making a number line to 20 with shamrocks, graphing Lucky Charms, and making insects with tangrams.
Science
We will be learning about our 5 Senses by looking through prisms and magnify glasses, playing with musical instruments and scented playdough, and feeling sensory balloons. The children will be describing what popcorn sounds like while popping, how it smells, what they see, how it tastes, and how it feels. We will also be doing a Pop Rock Experiment.
Physical
For Gross Motor, we will be shadow dancing, going on a Sensory Walk, and a Sight Word Hop. Fine Motor will consists of using tweezers to pick up bugs (fake) and making a Mr. Potato Head.
