Book Club
America's First Daughter by Stephanie Dray and Laura Kamoie

Book Club will resume with virtual meetings scheduled at 11:30 a.m. on the second Sunday of each month.

The first meeting will be on Sunday, September 14, and we will discuss America’s First Daughter by Stephanie Dray and Laura Kamoie, which we read back in February, but did not meet to discuss.

Upcoming selections include, in order: Lilac Girls, Mrs. Lincoln’s Dressmaker, The Girl Who Wrote in Silk, and A Man Called Ove. I will order the book kits from the Library, requesting several large print copies, as in the past. Since there are so many COVID restrictions at church, I will keep the books at my home, at 10548 Stephenson Drive. Members can pick them up here or ask for them to be delivered if needed.

There are two ways to participate. If you would like to use Zoom, contact Pam Hensen, and she will email you an invitation. If you would like to participate by phone, call: 312-626-6799 and enter the Meeting ID: 3010668991 and pass code: 946851. These numbers will be the same for all Book Club meetings. Pam Hensen assures me that the phone-in system is easy to use and works well. I understand that Lois Decker used it for Council meetings and likes it!

I hope that everyone who is interested will connect with us on September 14, so that we can try out the system. Please do so, even if you don’t want to discuss America’s First Daughter. I hope that we can make this work!!!
